Styling Tips To Fight The Frump

Becoming a mum can be a massive life change and we most certainly notice these changes in our bodies and lifestyle. As women, our most natural instinct after having kids is to hide our bodies with buggy clothing and dark colours. This is what creates a fumpy-like appearance. Fighting frump is actually simple and attainable for any mum. Here are my top three suggestions to upgrade your look:

There is Power in a Good Bra

No matter what you are wearing, you'll look and feel better in it with a well-fitting bra underneath. Most mum will find that their breast size might have changed after pregnancy and/or nursing, so I highly recommend a trip to a department store for bra fitting.

Add a Game Changing Piece to Your Look

If you want to look more pulled together or stylish in minutes, simply add a blazer and a colourful accessory such as a scarf, bag or sandal to your skinny jeans (darker washed jeans look more stylish) and top. These game changing pieces will always keep your look fresh. You could use a scarf one day, a colourful bag the next and a colourful sandal another day which all make for stylish looks without drawing attention to your basic pieces.

Give Your Jeans a Break

Jeans can be a great staple, however, if you would like a break from wearing jeans with an oversized jumper or top, simply swap your skinny jeans for a long flowing skirt or dress which you can wear underneath the jumper or top. This look will not only flatter your figure, but will certainly be more comfortable, glamourous and stylish.
